World of Warcraft gets a run for its money.
As MapleStory celebrated its fourth ‘birthday’ last Monday, Nexon announced that the game has reached over 92 million users worldwide, 6 million in North America alone.
MapleStory is a 2D-side scrolling MMORPG with anime-inspired graphic stylings. The game is free-to-play and earns via the item mall business model. It has been reported that MapleStory has earned $150-$500 million in virtual goods sales, currently being the third MMORPG with the biggest earnings in 2008.
The game is currently operating in 26 countries, the newest being in Brazil and Vietnam. MapleStory is developed by NEXON.
i hope there would be a maple story for Philippines.
