New Front Mission to be an Action Shooter!

Leaked scans from the latest issue of the Official XBOX Magazine have found their way onto the internet today bringing news of newest installment into the Front Mission franchise. The game, titled Front Mission Evolved, was previously thought to be an SRPG following in its predecessors’ roots. However the magazine scans confirm the unexpected; Front Mission Evolved will be an action-shooter.

Hoping to attract a larger Western audience this time around Square-Enix employed Double Helix Games, a U.S. based company and developers of the recently released Silent Hill: Homecoming, to aid in its transition from a strategic game into a more action oriented TPS.

Here’s to hoping Double Helix Games doesn’t screw this up.
