Team Ninja Rescues the Wii — Metroid: Other M Announced

As a long time Metroid fan, I never expected this announcement. Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Amie just announced during their pre-E3 press conference that Team Ninja and Nintendo will be collaborating on a project that is sure to shut up a lot of “hardcore” system nay-sayers out there. Metroid: Other M looks to be everything we wanted from a Metroid game, and more. Featuring a third-person perspective, with bits of classic 2D shooting thrown in, the game will be coming in 2010 exclusively for the Wii.

Pretty darn awesome how Nintendo’s roping in all these neat devs like Team Ninja and Game Arts with their projects, and I’m glad that Metroid finally got the center-stage attention it received today.
