Ryu Cometh!
Hey there fellow Filipino gamers! How’s gaming nowadays for everyone? Cool? Cool! Anyhow, this is the first time for me to post here in this nice official GAME! blog even though I’ve been freelancing for the magazine for most of its existence (I was part of the original panel that helped launched the mag even as it was called EGM Philippines back in its inception). As my online handle suggests, I have the curious given name of Ryu (short for Ryuichi, actually) which is similar to a famous video game icon (no points for guessing who)–so don’t nag me too much about it.
I’d like to think that I’ll be the voice of the silent majority who are faithful Wii and DS owners as the gaming press seems to be concentrated primarily on the so-called next-gen consoles. So, just for full disclosure, I am indeed a Nintendo fanboy but don’t worry bias-watchdogs out there, I’ve been gaming my whole life in all forms of consoles so I have a pretty decent grasp of what to praise and what to bury in total damnation.

nice suggestion there. I don’t know if I can do it weekly but certainly I’ll cover the big ones coming out for the Wiiware service. Don’t have a DSi so I’m out of luck with DsiWare for now.
