Warcraft movie drags Sam Raimi as director!

Warcraft movie drags Sam Raimi as director!

When Sam Raimi saw his horror directorial return in the form of “Drag Me To Hell” some time ago, give or take, when it comes to the genre that is in his nature (i.e. The Evil Dead movies), he’s definitely still got it. Not to mention, he is now helming the executive producer role for the fantasy TV series, “Legend of the Seeker”, based on the popular “The Sword of Truth” books by Terry Goodkind.  And that’s besides other projects in his resume like that other movie that involves some spider-like human being with real-life issues.

But could Raimi have enough momentum to overcome a cursed collaboration between two mediums of entertainment?

It has been announced that Sam Raimi will be directing the upcoming Warcraft movie after finishing his responsibilities with the next movie installment of Spider Man, according to Blizzard Entertainment. It should be noted that the announcement was made just a few weeks to go before the ever-popular BlizzCon.

As an additional side-note, Legendary Pictures, involved in the film, is also responsible for mega-successful DC film, The Dark Knight.

Perhaps more on the announcement will be clarified during the event? Only time will tell. But what else do you want to see in a Warcraft movie? As many people are aware, game-to-movie transitions have never really hit paydirt (eyes are still looking towards you, Super Mario Brothers), yet those who are familiar with the Warcraft franchise should know of how much potential it has for a movie based on the story alone, as well as the lore behind it. Is it going to be similar to the “Lord of the Rings” movies, or perhaps something different or better? Would you rather see the Alliance or the Horde take the stage? Or see these factions collaborate with one another in some extent? Which actors and actresses do you want to see in the movie? What’s your say?
